Super Bowl Wrap Up, M. Ph gets caught!

This is what it felt like in the last 2 minutes of the Super Bowl.  Kurt Warner was finally able to complete passes to Larry Fitz.  The Steelers defense was starting to get lazy and Larry Fitz broke in the open field and scored that incredible touchdown…And then the Steelers got the ball back. :( I knew it was going to happen too.  I felt it in my football-watchin’ gut that it was just too good to be true that the Cards came from that deficit and would win the big game for the first time.  Too freakin’ good to be true. Ugh. You know, this doesn’t hurt nearly as bad as last year’s Super Bowl but it is still a little heartbreaking.  Not gonna lie, it seemed like everyone at the Rec center that was a Steelers fan was kind of a jerk, haha.  Maybe I’m still bitter. Yeah, I’m definitely still bitter.  I give it to the Cardinals defense though for staying tough, it seemed like they were on the field FOREVER.

P.S. My favorite commerical was the careerbuilder.com one where they punched the koala with glasses and a coffee mug. Genius.

How awesome was it that the whole tuck  rule kicked in for the Cards? I hope you all remember the Patriots getting their momentum back because of this rule against the Raiders in 2002. THANK GOD.  We all know what happened after they beat the Raiders right? SUPER BOWL! Woot Woot.  I really wanted the officials to review the final play of the game.  As my brother said to me after I called him, “The game just didn’t feel like it ended right..I felt empty after that last play” haha What? Were you guys dating? Did the Cardinals just break up with you? Oh Niko, at least you have a cool Larry Fitz jersey to be baller in.

Oh yeah, the contest.  If you guys are wondering who will be the winner of the contest, here it is..

Before you guys get angry, I asked for the correct score..EXACT score.  I think the closest person who had it the closest was Dillon. Sorry :)

***The Countdown BEGINS!!***

 

*da da da daaaaa da na na naaaaa* Ok, that was supposed to be the NFL song but now that I read it, it sounds more like “The Final Countdown” by Europe. Whoops.  The time has come! SuperBowl 2009 is finally here.  You know I can still remember how excited I was when the preseason started about 5 months ago and now it’s almost over.  I mean, there’s the Pro Bowl, but even I don’t get too excited to see that.  Now if it was like past and present Pro Bowl from 10 years ago then I would be all over that.  Can you imagine? It would be John Elway versus Kurt Warner. Adrian Peterson versus Barry Sanders.  That actually sort of looks like my brother’s franchise team on Madden..except with Matt Schaub as his QB because he used all his good picks for Barry Sanders and Larry Fitzgerald..haha Niko, it’s ok, I respect/understand your logic.

So here’s the main point of this post, as I mentioned before I am holding a contest for all you readers out there who are somewhat decent at making Super Predictions.  Here are the details of the contest:
– You MUST post your prediction on the site for it to be considered.
- You MUST post a score in case of a tie.
- You will only win IF your team and score predictions match the end game result.
- Prizes are as follows:
* 1 free ticket to any remaining Providence Bruins game (pretty baller seats might I add, right next to my season ticket seat!!)
* FREE..FREE drinks and food for one period of the game (there are 3 total for all you non-hockey people, and sorry I can’t cover for all 3..I’m still a college student haha)

This isn’t a bad deal guys, if you’re a guy than this is even better.  So give me your best predictions.
