So I wasn’t expecting Wake Forest to blow it so early in the tournament.  Well, let it be my luck that they lose.  There goes my bracket, there goes my right to talk smack to people about my Final Four and there goes my faith in Mike Golic’s advice on bracketology.  You know what though? It’s fine.  I mean, I can’t be perfect or right all time. ..even though most of the time I am.  Who’s been the biggest upset on your bracket?

JOHN ELWAY? DISAPPOINTED?

Now, now Jay Cutler, you are irritated because McDaniels thought about trading you.  You didn’t show up for a meeting. You gave the team the silent treatment and now you’ve instructed your agent to ask Denver to trade you? You know it’s bad when John Elway is getting involved. Yahoo Sports reports that Elway is “deeply saddened” by the whole situation and wishes that they could just communicate.  John Elway is like the mutual friend of a couple that’s about to break-up.  You think Jay is like, “John, can you tell the Denver Broncos that I don’t really appreciate them touching my stuff? k. Thanks” I found this hilarious pic on this guy’s blog

ANTHONY BOURDAIN!

I know that this is mostly a sports blog, but I think that the fact that I spent 3 hours with Anthony Bourdain is pretty cool thing.  At our school, Mr. Bourdain came to our school to give a brief lecture and to sign some books.  I was in charge of his dressing room and pretty much got to talk about everything and anything with him ..including sports.  Let it be known that Anthony Bourdain is not a sports fan.  He is a Yankees fan.  I had to break it to him that the Yankees can get all the talent in MLB and it won’t guarantee a winning season.  He seemed to agree. hah So yes, even with someone like Anthony Bourdain I was able to draw out a sports conversation.  JACKPOT!
Here’s the best picture of the night.

Peace.

Roger Goodell, can we please have it back in the NFL?! Pleeeease?

The fact that the NFL took away end zone celebration was a sad day for me as a sports fan.  It shows that the players had personality, creativity and it even made Terrell Owens a little more likable.  So you can imagine my excitment when I saw the Alex Ovechkin’s (that’s pronounced…

Here it is everyone, my bracket for the NCAA Tournament (well, at least one of them) .  Yes, I know its pretty amazing.  I’ll give you few moments to bathe in it’s glory.
nrbracket1

Yeah, so what if I have UConn winning the whole thing? They’ve proven to be good overall throughout the season, unlike Oklahoma who struggled without Griffin and Pitt who randomly loses to random teams (Providence College?).  Other notable wins I think are Marquette over Memphis and Texas over Villanova.  I think it would be incredible if Texas won the whole thing (I really don’t think they can) but I will take them as far as beating Villanova.  I’m wicked excited about this tournament since this is actually the first time I’ve followed these teams for the entirety of the season prior to the tourny.  It’s almost as good as playoffs in the NFL, almost.

So I want to hear everyone’s Final Four.  Here are mine:
UCONN Vs. Wake Forest
Pitt vs. Oklahoma
Give me your best predictions.

JULIUS PEPPERS to be a PATRIOT?!

I have been asked this question at the very least, eight times within the last 3 hours.  First of all, this is merely rumor folks, my sources (who are quite dependable) have not confirmed anything about the Pats getting him just yet.  The Pats are PURSUING. Key word.  I know a lot of guys who pursue girls, doesn’t always mean they get them.   So until this is finalized, I, with the help of my little brother, have come up with some pretty hilarious sayings if the Patriots do get him.
Vote and let me know what you think is the best one.

Best saying that involves Julius Peppers’ prospective trade?

Whooa, there cowboy: Jay Cutler wants out?

I don’t enjoy picking on Jay Cutler, I really don’t. First, its just too easy and secondly it makes my little brother really angry.  This whole McDaniels and Cutler fiasco is becoming to be a worst breakup than Miley Cyrus and Jonas kid. I just imagine McDaniels doing roll call for offense (which, I don’t even know if they do this) and he just keeps saying, “Cutler? Cutler?”  No response.  Who does this?…

There are a few things in life that I know I just don’t have any control over like hurricanes, my reactions to goals at a Bruins game and sneezes, but then there is something like the Free Agency season in the NFL that really drives me insane.  I know that this is a really important time for teams to look at the major weaknesses of their defense and offense and perhaps maybe making some big moves to get higher draft picks, but seriously, can we please take into consideration the effects of these moves have on their fans.  Some of the bigger moves that have gone on have literally blown my mind.  So this post (for the most part) will be dedicated to the big moves that have occurred the past few days and why I either approve or disapprove.

MIKE VRABEL & MATT CASSEL —> THE CHIEFS

Cassel, why are you wearing a White Sox hat?

Cassel, why are you wearing a White Sox hat?

This is, by far the one that has irked me off the most.  Besides the fact that the Patriots got absolutely nothing for these two, its MIKE VRABEL.  You know how much I’ve always wanted a Mike Vrabel jersey?!? When I went to my first football game in Miami way back in 06′, I literally, was the only person cheering for Mike Vrabel. The Dolphins fans around thought I was making someone up on the Pats.  Folks, he’s one of my favorite players. One of my favorite moments is in the 2005 Super Bowl when Vrabel caught a 2 yard TD, I vividly remember him telling Brady after he celebrated the touchdown, “Don’t EVER do that to me again.”  How are we just giving this up? Given that he has not been as effective as he has been in the past 4 seasons, but neither has Donovan McNabb but Philly isn’t giving him away like a free sample.  The used Mike Vrabel like a bonus product for Matt Cassel, like he’s just some random free agent that doesn’t count.  This is just absurd.  Mike Vrabel and Tedy Bruschi were a great inside/outside LB pair..and now it’ll never be the same.  I hope this is what you wanted Bill, because if this doesn’t work out, I will be very, VERY upset. Oh, P.S. Good job on getting Fred Taylor.

My verdict:
