Tom Brady is a huge brat.

Like, “I threw a terrible pass and I want to yell at my random wide receiver that looks like a member of Bel Biv Devoe (Tiquan Underwood) and put the blame on him” kind of brat.

If you have no idea what I’m talking about, check out the video below.

The story is that Tom Brady was originally yelling at Bel (or Biv or Devoe, I’m not sure who is who) and offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien was just not having it. I’ve never really seen Tom Brady react like that and it kinda rubbed me in the worst way possible. In a situation that the absolute worst thing that Tom Brady could’ve done was throw an interception…and that’s exactly what he did. If that happened to me, I’d be pretty ticked off too but I would be irritated with myself, not poor little Tiquan Underwood and Coach O’Brien.

Not cool, Brady. I still love you though. Just don’t let it happen again…unless it’s because Tiquan missed a Super Bowl-winning catch, then I guess that would be acceptable.

Let’s get back to the rest of this game, the Patriots won the game but in the most unconvincing way possible.

The Patriots got the win over the Washington Redskins with a score of 34-27.
Yeah, not too impressive right? This is also the same Patriots team that gave the Indianapolis Colts some belief that they actually had a shot at winning not too long ago.

Am I confident in this Patriots team? Nope. I think that the Houston Texans are more balanced as a team and they don’t even have their first and second string quarterbacks. But does that mean that they won’t fight their way deep into the playoffs.

The Pats won’t impress anyone with their defense but it is this unimpressive defense that will make enough plays to keep their opponents at bay…that is, until they meet Aaron Rodgers, that is. I’m actually worried about those games when a scattered defense will not cut it. Speaking of the Packers, is it just me or does it seem like more people are ok with the Packers going undefeated than when the Patriots were trying to do the same thing?

As Fitzy once said, “…because everyone hates the Pats.”

The Patriots are headed to Denver this weekend to face the golden child that is Tim Tebow. …

The Patriots are headed to Denver this weekend to face the golden child that is Tim Tebow. As someone mentioned on twitter, Bill Belichick has examined and scouted Tebow. What’s happening in Denver is not going to be a surprise. From what I saw of the Broncos against the Bears, it was a case of a team that got overly confident with 10 points on the board.

The Patriots won’t do this.

They’ll keep scoring until the end of the game and even if they’re up by 40, they’ll still play like they’re down by 40. We all know that it is the defense that is the Patriots point of weakness and if they let the magic that is surrounding Tim Tebow get the best of them, there won’t be a score over 20.

The weakest link, according to Mike Reiss’ report card, it’s the Pass Defense specifically that they’re so close to failing at with D+.

If Tim Tebow hones in on the other side of his option quarterback self (the passing one), their chances at winning will slightly increase.

I’ll say it here, this weekend’s game is not going to be an easy one but it will be an interesting one. I think the Patriots can pull it off and if they finally stop the Tebow train then we’ll have something to really be excited for in the playoffs.

Until Sunday, I leave with the most courteous bear you’ll ever meet.

When the news first broke that the NFL had plans of moving the Pro Bowl to the week before the Super Bowl, I was less than excited. Actually, more confused than anything. Not that I had a countdown to the Pro Bowl every year, but I just thought that the idea behind moving the event was absurd. Given, that this break between football games sucked, I still think that having an NFL game in Hawaii was pretty awesome. If they were going to move the game up, great…just make sure you keep in Hawaii. If I was a football player and was violently injured during my season and then found out I HAD to play another game and it was in a place like Hawaii?

Hell yes. I’ll even show up early to “practice”.

This wasn’t the case. Instead, the Pro Bowl got moved up early and was relocated to Dolphins Stadium..I mean, Landshark Stadium. Actually, I’m not even sure what it’s called anymore. Either way, it just wasn’t an even exchange.

Miami is fun and all but I feel like that they host way too many big games. I feel like the Super Bowl was JUST there like 4 years ago. Now the Pro Bowl? What about the Buccaneers stadium? They have a boat in the endzone! Come on. How many teams can even get away with having a vehicle on their field?

So here’s the real point of this, why exactly did I watch the Pro Bowl? Especially since the Grammys and Rudy was playing. I didn’t watch the Grammys because after U2 won Best Album for 3 years in a row, I was all set. I watched Rudy because, honestly, that movie gets me EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Here’s my favorite line in the movie because it’s pretty much the story of my life:

You’re 5 foot nothin’, 100 and nothin’, and you have barely a speck of athletic ability. And you hung in there with the best college football players in the land for 2 years. And you’re gonna walk outta here with a degree from the University of Notre Dame. In this life, you don’t have to prove nothin’ to nobody but yourself. And after what you’ve gone through, if you haven’t done that by now, it ain’t gonna never happen. Now go on back.

Except for the not …

You’re 5 foot nothin’, 100 and nothin’, and you have barely a speck of athletic ability. Now go on back.

Except for the not having athletic ability part. And, I’ve never “hung with best college football players in the land” or even stepped foot on Notre Dame’s campus. I am 5 foot nothing and 100 and nothin’ (on good days). Rudy! Rudy! Rudy! I want to apologize to all my friends who I barraged with texts on how awesome the movie was (Patrick, Bill and Brian).

Once the movie ended though, I switched to the Pro Bowl and was waiting to get into football mode. It wasn’t happening at all. I think at some point, I was delusional because Aaron Rodgers and Vince Young were acting like quarterbacks. Oh wait, they were. Aaron Rodgers actually played pretty well [ 15/19, 197 yards and 2 TD's] Vince Young was sub par. The worst part was listening to the commentators make up things to talk about. Honestly, this game has no importance. It wasn’t like baseball’s All-Star Game where their playing for home field advantage for the World Series, or in the NBA where it’s just pretty freakin’ cool. The Pro Bowl is kind of just there. Hanging out. It was like just something to do before the real off-season started. There wasn’t anything that the commentators can really say, they couldn’t talk about playoff implications or the last time these teams played. It was a game of two-hand touch and Ochocinco’s sideline commentary. This was my mindset until I saw how well the Houston Texans’ selections were playing.

If you didn’t already know, the Houston Texans are my ultimate underdog team. I cheer for them when it is appropriate, which is usually when they aren’t playing the New England Patriots. This season was especially awesome because it was the frist time my Texans finished over .500. On top of that, Matt Shaub, Andre Johnson, DeMeco Ryans, Brian Cushing and Mario Williams all made it to the Pro Bowl. Even bigger surprise? QB Matt Schaub won the Pro Bowl MVP Award for winning AFC team.

So that’s what it is: I watched for the Houston Texans.
