It seems like everybody has the Patriots losing tonight on Monday Night Football against the Wildcat-led offense of the Miami Dolphins. There’s a lot of reasoning as to why some may have dubbed this a definite loss for the New England Patriots.
1. The Patriots are playing on the road, they’ve been unsuccessful on the road since last season
2. Chad Henne and the Dolphins offense have been productive on all aspects of the ball (running and passing)
3. Miami has Brandon Marshall and he’s a maniac in the open field, seriously, frightening
Am I nervous for tonight’s game? A tiny bit. I think that any fan that has seen the Patriots play up to this point and even saw a glimpse of how the Dolphins have been playing will have plenty to be suspenseful for in the game. The first ever professional NFL game I ever got to watch live was the Patriots and Dolphins game the so-called “Dolphins Stadium” . It was my dad’s gift to me for graduating from culinary school. The seats were on the 40 yard line, behind the Patriots’ bench and in row 18. I was in heaven. I looked like an insane Patriots fan but it was so worth it, even if the team was completely shut out.
I’m hoping that this won’t be the case tonight in Sun Life Stadium.
The Patriots have high motivation though, I mean it looks as though every member of the media is picking Miami to dominate the Patriots on many facets of the game. Some match ups, maybe but I think there are several things that Patriots fans need to keep in mind.
Tom Brady - Within three games Brady has completed 66 of 98 passes for 758 yards. Brady’s quarterback rating is 109.1 and has already had eight touchdowns. If he continues to play at this level, it could possibly be his best season yet.
The Tight Ends – One of my favorite ladies on twitter @MelHocking and I have spent countless tweets discussing the magnitude of awesomeness that lies in the Patriots’ tight end department. With rookies Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez demanding to be noticed on the offense, the Patriots have done a great job (finally!) in using the tight ends. Look for #85 and #87 in the red zone and for some short yardage gains.

Running Attack - Do I need …
