As I sat at Trinity Brewhouse in Providence watching the game Patriots and Jets game, I came to the realization that I don’t really hate the Jets.  It may come as a surprise that a die-hard Patriots fan isn’t completely disgusted with a New York team.

Truthfully, I dislike the Giants more than the Jets.  This did bring up the idea as to how many people became Jets fans because of Hard Knocks? I mean, how could you now fall in love with Rex Ryan and all of his foul-mouthed self?

I doubt there will be anyone out there who will admit this but these people exist, I’ve seen them.  They were the same guy who sported a Sanchez jersey while booing every time the Patriots got a first down (which, let’s be honest, wasn’t that frequent this past Sunday.)

So here comes the break down of the highly-anticipated Patriots-Jets game:

Given the fact that the Patriots never got anything started, it’s hard to see where the positive aspects were for the game.  I gave my thoughts prior to the game via tweet.

@KishaT: Thoughts for the game: Jets running game is biggest threat. Patriots D must stay explosive and force Sanchez errors.Brady, use EVERYONE. :) 9:59 AM Sep 19th

Yeah, seems like the Patriots saw this and thought, “Let’s do the complete opposite of what Kisha says.”

The Jets outplayed the Patriots in every facet of the game and even quarterback Mark Sanchez looked substantially better than Tom Brady.

BRADY: 20/36 for 248 yards, 2TD, 2 INT

SANCHEZ: 21/30 for 220 yards, 3 TD, 0INT

What’s the most drastic difference in those statistics? The amount of touchdown passes Sanchez had in comparison to his interceptions. Let’s not forget that Mark Sanchez played for a nothing more than a year at USC and barely learned how to slide a few months ago. He also managed to get sacked three times against the Patriots defense. Am I a believer of the Sanchise? Please. I’ll bet more money on Antonio Cromartie discovering he has another child before the season is over than Mark Sanchez being the savior that the Jets were looking for.

The Jets offense needs a solid quarterback at the helm and even with an impressive showing against the Patriots, Sanchez was awful against the Ravens.

The continued success of the New York Jets can only rely so much on

There have been way too many things in sports lately that has really got me going WTF? more often than usual. So I’ve decided to compile a list to just get it out of my system.

Plaxico Burress Suspended
THANK YOU! Beyond the fact that I am a die-hard Giants hater, this type of behavior is completely unacceptable. Its funny because I remember saying during the Super Bowl, “Hmm, that Burress character, I think he may be the only one I like on the Giants team.” Wrong. This is a perfect example of a time where your performance on the field is completely overshadowed by your stupid behavior off the field. So the Giants coaching staff got 2 things right this season:
Getting rid of Jeremy Shockey and now suspending Plaxico for the rest of the season. I really want someone to just lay out Eli Manning so David Carr can step in and sabotage the team with his awful QB skills.
Here’s another thing that has been I’ve been secretly thinking in my head every time I see Tom Coughlin on television: Can someone please get this guy some moisturizer? His face looks like its going to shrivel up and curl off of his head.

Michael Vick Comeback
To all you people out there calling the Pats cheaters and unethical for filming the Jets games, please stop and realize that there are bigger issues in this world. You want to see unethical? Look to this former Virgina Tech QB. If Michael Vick even has the slightest chance of playing professional football again, I might just have to punch Roger Goodell in the face. Vick is not a good enough QB to overlook everything he’s done to those dogs. In fact, no QB is good enough to overlook that.

There’s this great bit that comedian Daniel Tosh does about Mick Vick’s situation.

Oscar De La Hoya Vs. Manny Pacquiao
I’m really not much of a boxing fan but I just remember De La Hoya’s embarrassing and short-lived “music career” and since than I haven’t been able to take him seriously..until now. I’ve been watching the mini documentaries HBO has been doing to promote the fights and I’m starting to get really excited about the fight. Both De La Hoya and Pacquiao …
