This video is perfectly done. Saturday Night Live give Tim Tebow the Jesus visit he’s been dreaming of. Check it out below.

This video made me laugh pretty hard so I figured I’d share it with you guys before today’s big game.

I’m going with a close game initially but the Patriots will manage a victory. That is unless they’re only up by 10 points in the fourth quarter.

Goooooooooo Patriots!…

Tom Brady is a huge brat.

Like, “I threw a terrible pass and I want to yell at my random wide receiver that looks like a member of Bel Biv Devoe (Tiquan Underwood) and put the blame on him” kind of brat.

If you have no idea what I’m talking about, check out the video below.

The story is that Tom Brady was originally yelling at Bel (or Biv or Devoe, I’m not sure who is who)  and offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien was just not having it. I’ve never really seen Tom Brady react like that and it kinda rubbed me in the worst way possible. In a situation that the absolute worst thing that Tom Brady could’ve done was throw an interception…and that’s exactly what he did. If that happened to me, I’d be pretty ticked off too but I would be irritated with myself, not poor little Tiquan Underwood and Coach O’Brien.

Not cool, Brady. I still love you though. Just don’t let it happen again…unless it’s because Tiquan missed a Super Bowl-winning catch, then I guess that would be acceptable.

Let’s get back to the rest of this game, the Patriots won the game but in the most unconvincing way possible.

The Patriots got the win over the Washington Redskins with a score of 34-27.
Yeah, not too impressive right? This is also the same Patriots team that gave the Indianapolis Colts some belief that they actually had a shot at winning not too long ago.

Am I confident in this Patriots team? Nope. I think that the Houston Texans are more balanced as a team and they don’t even have their first and second string quarterbacks. But does that mean that they won’t fight their way deep into the playoffs.

The Pats won’t impress anyone with their defense but it is this unimpressive defense that will make enough plays to keep their opponents at bay…that is, until they meet Aaron Rodgers, that is. I’m actually worried about those games when a scattered defense will not cut it.  Speaking of the Packers, is it just me or does it seem like more people are ok with the Packers going undefeated than when the Patriots were trying to do the same thing?

As Fitzy once said, “…because everyone hates the Pats.”

The Patriots are headed to Denver this weekend to face the golden child that is Tim Tebow.

Another Sunday, another Patriots victory…sort of.

I spoke of the Patriots being an underdog of some sorts. A type of team that has made a habit of slow starts and commanding victories. Frankly, this system made the games much more exciting and gave the wins a bit more depth.

Today though, was a different story. The Patriots defense was showing its weaknesses and the offense seemed to be playing on a completely different level. With a final score of 31-24, you’d never guess that the Indianapolis Colts haven’t won a game all season. That score didn’t show that the starting quarterback for the Colts, Dan Orlovsky, was a last minute decision and hasn’t started a game since 2008 when he was with the Detroit Lions (not to mention, he was a back up for the Texans in 2009 – I had no idea who he was back then either..).

(I swear, these are the creepiest photos of NFL teams)

In his postgame press conference, there was a question that Dan Orlovsky answered that I thought really showed his maturity:

Q: Can you separate a loss with playing pretty well?

DO: I don’t have a desire to, to be honest with you. My goal is to go out there and win a ball game, bar none. The best chance to do that is to play well at this position. So, I just didn’t play good enough to win today. I don’t care about anything else; I’m at the point in my career and my life where I just want to win. So, it’s hard for me to separate it and I don’t have any desire to.

Orlovsky is at a point in his career where he not only wants to win, he also wants to start.

If I got the starting position over the three-year back-up Curtis Painter, I wouldn’t care too much about whether I played well or not, it should always come down to whether or not you were able to get the victory.

Another thing I noticed was that people still booed Adam Vinatieri when he stepped onto the field at Gillette. Really? Ok, I get that at the time of his departure, he was pretty much joining the Dark Side as far as Patriots fans were concerned but to hear people still upset by this was rather surprising. I mean, Stephen Gostkowski has missed a few chip …

Phew.

I swear, sometimes life doesn’t understand that I’ve got a blog to take care of. Geeesh. Sorry for the delay everyone, a door closed in my professional life and a new one opened rather quickly (I was very lucky!) and here I am getting back to some killer blogging.

Sunday night’s game was awesome. Not for the Eagles of course, but as a die-hard Patriots fan, it’s tough not to get too excited. With Tom Brady finally getting into a groove with his receivers (Deion Branch had six catches for 125 yards and Wes Welker had eight catches for 115 yards and two touchdowns!) and the running game also having a solid showing, there’s plenty to be happy about.

By the way, do you enjoy going through the Gamebook as much as I do? If you haven’t seen it yet, feast your eyes on THIS.

I have to admit, this new Patriots trend of a slow start then just making the opposition look silly in the second half makes the game so much more exciting to watch. Sure, I’d like to see the Patriots completely dominate but the part of me that loves the underdog in everything LOVES the comebacks. The only problem, how long can you play the underdog card AND win?

Everyone thought that the Eagles game could be the one game that the Patriots could give up without really having any major consequences. But how did they manage on Sunday? Beating the Eagles 38-20.

I found a really interesting article from Chris Forsberg of ESPNBoston about how the Patriots made it a little bit easier for lineman-turned-center Ryan Wendell. It was Ryan’s first game as a center and as Forsberg mentioned, the noise level at Lincoln Financial Field is a little intimidating.

To ease his duties, the Patriots employed a subtle, but somewhat unique approach in Sunday’s game. During shotgun snaps where the team operated with a silent count, veteran right guard Brian Waters would stare back at quarterback Tom Brady until he got the sign that the offense was set, then he would tap Wendell with his left arm to initiate the snap.

This is a great example of how the Patriots adjust to, not necessarily the needs of a certain player, but more so the needs of the team as whole is what prevents this team from failure. The ability to adjust, improve and …
