Necessary Roughness with Kisha is a sports blog that focuses on football, both college and professional. However, no topic is off limits.

My name is Kisha and I am a wicked huge sports fan.

I was born in Manila, Philippines and lived in southern California for about five years, which was where I discovered football, the San Francisco 49ers (when they were actually good) to be exact.  In 1998, my family moved to Corpus Christi, Texas where I eventually found my love for  football and more importantly, the New England Patriots.  Initially, it was because of their uniforms that got me (guilty), but eventually I found myself keeping up with their stats and increasingly familiar with the team.  As I got older, I dated a few guys who were also massive sports fans and I vividly remember playing games like “Name the top receivers” where we would name a receiver until we’ve named them all.  Other variations of this game include naming starting quarterbacks, running backs and hall of famers.  This is what we did when we were bored and it usually ended in a lot of researching to making sure the other person wasn’t just making people up.

I received  my B.S. in Sports/Entertainment & Events Management from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island.

I still live in Providence and once in a while, you’ll see me at a local sports bar watching the game with friends or hanging out at the local dog park chasing after my rescue pup Rossi.(Everyone, meet Rossi. She’s awesome)

I have the wonderful opportunity of being a Contributing Writer for Patriots Insider. Patriots Insider is part of Scout.com (A division of FOX Interactive Media) and a FOXSports.com partner.  I have my own column called Kisha’s Korner and provide unique insight on the games and team.

Yeah, I’m a pretty busy gal.
